A hike to the castle of Requesens is 6km and takes us through the Natural Preserve of the Albera where we can see megalithic monuments (dolmens), romanic churches, etc. Great for biking. Nearby we have the Costa Brava with its small towns (Cadaques) & beaches; skydiving in Ampuriabrava; kite-surfing & water skiing in St. Pere Pescador; scuba-diving in Medes Isles Nat'l Park; Figueres and the Dali Museum; Perelada and its castle, casino, winery; greek ruins in Empuries; wetlands etc. All within a 30 min drive. The popular shopping town of Perthus (France) is 15 min away. Good wine & fine dining.
