Villa Maria is a large 4 bedroom property, ideal for families or couples. It is situated on the lovely private estate of Vizcondado de Cabanyes, just outside the medieval village of Calonge. The 4 double bedrooms sleep up to 9 people, two of the rooms have double beds and the other rooms are comprised of 2 single beds in one and bunk beds and a single bed in the other. One double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, the other double bedroom has its own terrace with magnificant views across to the Bay of Palamos. There is also a shower room upstairs with a wc and downstairs there is an additional wc. The downstairs area is open plan with an archway leading from the kitchen to the lounge and dining areas, which look out onto the large terrace and 10 x 5 m swimming pool and garden.

Area Information

Calonge is on the Costa Brava in North East Spain. The village centre is about 2 miles from the villa with all amenities, restaurants, bars, banks, post office and tourist information. Palamos is a short drive along the coast to the east, with an old and a new port, and pedestrianised old town for shopping. Plaja dAro is a short drive along the coast to the west. This is a lively town with more shops, restaurants, bars and discos. Girona and Barcelona are within easy reach and well worth a daytrip.

Activity information

There will be plenty of things to do on the Costa Brava. You have full use of your private pool at the villa, but there are also many sandy beaches and rocky bays for swimmers and all kinds of watersports. The countryside is ideal for walkers. This area is a golfers paradise, with championship courses and several 18 hole and 9 hole courses to test the best players. Facilities for tennis are available in the village. There are 2 horseriding centres within 30 minutes drive. Various other sporting facilities are possible, more information can be given on request.

Activities for Families

There are three waterparks within one hour's drive, Aqua Diver in Platja d Aro, Marineland, near Blanes (which has dolphins and other animals) and Waterworld at Lloret de Mar which grows bigger every year.
